What is the International Warsaw Invention Show?
This is one of the greatest invention exhibitions in Europe that takes place in Warsaw, Poland, annually. Here young inventors from all over the world demonstrate their scientific projects for the international community, share their experience and get feedback on how to improve their projects. They also participate in the seminars on Intellectual Property and patents.
The event is being organized by the Association of Polish Inventors and Innovators, and it is being supported by the International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA) and by the Association of European Inventors (AEI).
Who can participate in this competition?
Creative scientists, researchers, young inventors, engineers, chemists and IT-specialists, who are studying in 9-11 forms and have their own inventions are welcome to take part in the International Warsaw Invention Show. If you meet the criteria, do not hesitate to apply!
Before submitting your project, you should also find a supervisor and choose a topic and a section that you are interested in.
What project can I submit for the competition?
Your project should fit in one of 12 categories:
Ecology – for those, who would like to create a device, which analyzes the water and detects pests, or a digital-map of waste processing plants throughout Europe;
Mechanical Engineering – for the creators of drones, which will put out forest fires;
Construction Ьachinery – for those who come up with autopilot excavators or lasers that can crush the largest boulders;
Electricity – for the creators of new transformers, which reduce voltage of high-voltage networks;
Electric and IT – for those, who want to create new ways of data coding in messengers or to produce super fast wireless Wi-Fi-routers;
Automotive Industry – in this section you can come up with high-strength tires or anti-slip chains for trucks;
Metallurgy – here you can present filters, which protect the environment from emissions of metallurgical plants;
Agriculture and Food-industry – for those, who created the application which identifies plant diseases by the photos, or came up with a new enzyme for gluten-free bread;
Chemical Industry – in this section you can present reagents to protect trees and metals from corrosion;
Textile Industry – for the inventors of natural dyes or for those who want to suggest how to transform algue into fabric;
Medicine and Biotechnology – for ideas like new types of biofuels or antihistamines;
Others – if your idea doesn’t match any other section, please submit your project here!
How can I become a participant?
To get to the final and take part in the international competition, you should participate in the 3rd stage of the All-Ukrainian contest-presentation of scientific research projects or in the exhibition-competition the “Future of Ukraine”.
After the selection process you will be asked to fill in the application form and prepare a video or a PowerPoint presentation about your project. Next step is the registration for the international competition. Don’t worry, managers of JAS international department will be there to help.
Your application form should include the following information:
invention type (it could be a technology, a product, a process, a device, or a software);
short description of the project (up to 500 symbols);
detailed description of the project (up to 2000 symbols);
explanation of why your idea is innovative?
impact of the invention for ecology;
influence of the invention on the areas of implementation and software;
impact of the invention on humanity.
Additionally, you may add photos, diagrams, visuals, posters, which present your idea in the best way.
What kind of awards can I win?
The participant of the International Warsaw Invention Show are competing for the following prizes:
platinum, gold, silver and bronze medals;
special awards from organizers and partners (Inventors Associations, Awards and Governmental Offices Awards);
special and honorary awards – Grand Prix and ARIaR.
Is it possible to win?
In 2020 JAS team won 20 medals: 6 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze.
