It’s a project for anyone who is interested in modern Ukrainian literature for children and young adults. Exciting stories by Volodymyr Arieniev, inspiring tales by Olha Kupriian, novels about bullying or first love by Anastasiia Nikulina, and other cool books are waiting for you :)
BaraBooka will recommend interesting texts for children and young adults, suggest what literature festival to visit and what literature contest to take part in. We will talk about top Ukrainian writers and illustrators and will be the first to announce the laureates of the most important literary awards!
To explore literature in a new way! We are not going to talk about “What does a very famous writer want to say by his/her writing?” and “What tropes did a very respected poetess like?”. Instead, you will discover interesting Ukrainian literature and, eventually, fall in love with it and its creators :)
On BaraBooka’s website, you can read reviews on popular novels, collections of writings, and the main literary news. In the “Events” section, you will find the announcements of interesting literary events!
Also, BaraBooka together with its partners has launched a media project #ЖивіПисьменники (#LivingWriters), which introduces modern Ukrainian writers, and the contest of reviews “Read&Write”, which helps your reviews go beyond the smartphone notes :)
BaraBooka works online, so here is the link to the website www.barabooka.com.ua. There you can find lots of useful resources: more than 120 interviews and 450 reviews (pay attention to the section “About books”, where books are divided according to the age, and also look at topic tags to navigate easily). Everything is free and easy to find!
