The initiative of the JASU was supported by the European network of science centres and museums "Ecsite". More than 20 European partners have joined this programme. In particular, science centres from Germany, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands have already handed over their exhibits to the JASU in the form of humanitarian aid.
The Federal University of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) and the museum "focusTerra" from Switzerland are also among the partners of JASU. In cooperation with Swiss scientists, the exhibition project "Expedition through the Solar System" was developed for Ukraine. And recently this exhibition has arrived in Ukraine.
"We are happy and proud that we can jointly support young people in Ukraine, who will gain scientific knowledge while visiting our exhibition on the study of the Solar system from the Federal University of Technology Zurich," says Dr. Ulrike Kastrup, Director focusTerra, ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
As part of the exhibition, researchers become heroes of their own stories: they tell about themselves and show how they conduct research. In this way, anyone — expert or novice — can discover our planetary environment.
Stanislav Dovgyi, the President of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, comments: "In today's conditions, it is important for us to expand children's opportunities and make education more accessible - in all senses. It can be realised by means of travelling exhibitions and expositions and also by opening new laboratories, primarily in the regions of Ukraine. Our efforts are aimed at creating interactive learning spaces where children can fulfil their educational needs and make incredible journeys into the mysterious world of science. We are grateful to the partners who support the initiatives of the JASU. Special thanks to the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine, with which we have been implementing joint projects for over 10 years."
The exhibition has already been fully adapted for Ukrainian visitors. Vasyl Dunets, Head of the Department of Educational Programmes of the JASU, said: “The translation and scientific editing of the exhibition was carried out by members of the working group created jointly by the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the focusTerra Museum, which included translators, scientists, museum workers, as well as designers from Switzerland, Germany and Ukraine.”
The exhibition was adapted, transferred and delivered to Ukraine thanks to the support of many individuals and institutions.
