This is a project that creates and promotes Ukrainian-language educational content abroad. We translate into Ukrainian scientific-methodical, informational and excursion materials, web pages of foreign science centres and museums, subtitles for films for Ukrainian children who were forced to move outside our country, escaping from the war. In other words, we translate everything that will help you easily and quickly adapt to a foreign language environment and gain access to education in the Ukrainian language.
The translation is done by experienced experts of the NC “JASU”. Foreign science centres and museums carry out the introduction and publication of translated texts independently.

If you are outside Ukraine, the project will help you adapt to the educational process in a foreign language environment. And you can get access to books, literature and educational content in the Ukrainian language.

Implementation of the project began in Poland. It is there that the largest number of Ukrainian schoolchildren has been since the beginning of spring 2022.

Subsequently, "Discover Science in Ukrainian" gradually expanded its geography. We aim to involve science centres and museums from different countries of the world in the project, popularising the Ukrainian language.

Now 5 organisations from Poland have joined it:

• "Copernicus" Science Center (Warsaw);
• Center of Modernity "Knowledge Mill" (Toruń);
• Association of Polish Science Centers "Society and Science" (Warsaw);
• Science Center "Experiment" (Gdynia);
• Center of Science "EC1 Lodz — City of Culture" (Lodz).

• The first texts from Polish to Ukrainian were translated in May 2022 for the mobile exhibition of the Copernicus Science Center. This exhibition toured Polish cities where Ukrainian citizens temporarily resided. Read more about this in the material on the JAS platform.
• Most of the exhibits at the Copernicus Science Center are already equipped with descriptions in the Ukrainian language, work is ongoing on the translation of others.
• A significant part of the popular science materials that the "Experiment" Science Center has posted on the Internet (the "Remote Experiment" Cycle) are already available in Ukrainian, as are the descriptions of the exhibits at the center's exhibitions.
